Discovering the world through play and work

A walk for a child is not just a time for physical activity, but a full-fledged lesson in discovering the surrounding world. Today's day on the playground of our institution turned into a real research expedition, full of games, important conclusions, and sincere emotions.

Play as a tool for socialization

Observing the children, one can see how easily they try on various social roles. Role-playing games in nature contribute to the development of communication skills and the ability to negotiate.

But besides entertainment, an important element of education is accustoming them to joint work. Children willingly helped each other and the educators organize the playground. At the core of this activity lies a simple but profound wisdom reminded by the educator: «Do good — and good will come». It is such moments that form children's responsibility and understanding of cause-and-effect relationships.

Nature explorers

Late autumn gives a lot of objects to study, which may seem mundane to adults, but are real miracles for children:

• Natural phenomena: A large puddle formed after the rain became an object of hydrological research and depth checking.
• Flora: Children collected the last autumn leaves as precious trophies, studying their shapes and colors.
• Treasures: An ordinary walk turned into a fairy tale when a «large magical stone» was found, which immediately became the center of attention and children's fantasies.

Emotional result

The main outcome of the walk was not collected leaves or a cleaned territory, but the shining eyes of the children. Positive emotions and a good mood are the key to the mental health of our wards.

The best assessment of the day was the sincere phrase heard from the children themselves: «We are interested in everything!». And this is the main task of our team — to keep this spark of curiosity and love of life alive.
