World Immunization Week: Vaccination is Important and Not Scary at All!

Every year during the last week of April, the world observes World Immunization Week. The goal of this campaign is to highlight the importance of vaccines in protecting people of all ages against vaccine-preventable diseases.

Many parents still feel anxious about vaccinating their children. We want to reassure you: vaccination is safe and not scary at all! Modern vaccines undergo multi-stage clinical trials and strict quality control. They act as a kind of 'training' for the immune system: teaching it to recognize dangerous viruses and bacteria so that in case of a real encounter, the body is ready to fight back effectively.

Why does vaccination concern everyone?

Vaccination is not only about individual protection but also about caring for society as a whole. When the majority of people are vaccinated, so-called herd immunity is formed. Thanks to it, it becomes extremely difficult for infections to spread. Thus, we protect the most vulnerable: infants, the elderly, and those who cannot be vaccinated due to severe medical conditions.

Take a step towards a safe future! Check your child's vaccination schedule, consult with your family doctor or pediatrician, and do not delay your visit. Together, we can protect the health of our children!
