Mental Health Day

Фото новини

On October 10, World Mental Health Day is celebrated. Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes their abilities, copes with life stresses, works productively, and contributes to their community. It is an important part of overall health, covering emotional, psychological, and social interactions, affecting thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships with others.

Take care of your mental health, love yourself, and don't be afraid to ask for help.

«Each of us deserves love and care for our mental state. Stress, anxiety, uncertainty — these are feelings familiar to many, especially in this difficult time. But even when everything seems too hard, we are here to help», note the Ministry of Health.

Responding to the challenges of the war, the Ministry of Health has radically increased the number of primary care medical workers who can provide services in the field of mental health. As of today, 20,361 primary care physicians have completed the mhGAP training course (a flagship WHO program aimed at increasing access to mental healthcare services). Overall, the first level of the course has been completed by 103,944 Ukrainians, including doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Over 1000 primary care medical facilities have signed a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSU) for the support and treatment of adults and children with mental disorders. Thanks to this, patients all over Ukraine have the opportunity to receive free mental health services from their family doctor and pediatrician.
